The short version. If you call or text a business that uses HomeCrew AI, we use what you tell us only to answer you and get you on that business's schedule. We never sell your information, and we do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text STOP at any time to stop texts.

1. Who we are
JB Home Service Automation ("we", "us") makes HomeCrew AI, a service that answers missed calls and texts for home-service businesses such as heating, cooling and plumbing companies (each one a "Business"). When a Business can't pick up, HomeCrew AI texts the caller back, helps them book an appointment, and alerts the Business's team about emergencies. On the Pro plan, it can also answer calls with an automated voice assistant.
This policy covers three groups of people:
- Callers: anyone who calls or texts a Business that uses HomeCrew AI.
- Businesses: the companies that use HomeCrew AI, and their owners and staff.
- Visitors: anyone who visits jbhomeserviceautomation.com.
For callers, we handle your information on behalf of the Business you contacted. The Business is the company you are dealing with; we provide the system that answers for it.
2. What we collect
From callers
- Your phone number and the time you called or texted.
- What you write to us in texts, and any photos you send (for example, a photo of an equipment label).
- Call transcripts, if a Business on the Pro plan has the automated assistant answer your call. The assistant turns your speech into text so it can respond. We keep the text of the conversation, not an audio recording.
- Details you give to book a visit, such as your name, service address, ZIP code, a description of the problem and your preferred times.
- Appointment details and whether you have opted out of texts.
From Businesses
- Business name, contact details, hours, services and service area.
- Names and mobile numbers of the owner and any staff who receive alerts or are on call.
- Information needed to register the Business's texting with phone carriers (for example, legal business name, tax ID, address and website), which we pass to our telecommunications provider for that purpose.
- Calendar access, if the Business connects a calendar, limited to what is needed to find open times and add appointments.
- Billing information, which is handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- If the Business uses HomeCrew Comeback: a list of its past customers (name, mobile number, date and type of last service), the Business's confirmation that those customers agreed to receive texts from it, and estimates the Business asks us to follow up on (amount and a short description). We use these only to send that Business's reminders and check-ins, store them encrypted, and never use one Business's customers for another.
From website visitors
Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the site. If you book a call with us, our scheduling provider collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy.
3. How we use it
- To answer your call or text on behalf of the Business, understand what you need, and book, move, cancel or remind you about an appointment.
- To alert the Business's owner or on-call staff, including calling them right away about emergencies such as a gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm, fire, no heat or a burst pipe.
- To send one request for a review after a completed job, if the Business has turned that on.
- To give the Business reports about its calls and bookings.
- To keep the service working, secure and free of abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We use automated systems, including AI, to read your messages and write replies. If you ask, the assistant will always tell you it is automated, and you can ask for a person at any time.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use callers' information for our own marketing.
4. Text messages
When you call or text a Business that uses HomeCrew AI, you may receive texts about your request: questions about the job, appointment times, confirmations, reminders and updates. See our SMS Terms for full details, including how often messages are sent.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- The Business you contacted, which receives your request, booking details and conversation so it can do the job.
- Service providers that run parts of HomeCrew AI for us, under agreements that limit their use of
the information to providing those services:
- a telecommunications provider that carries calls and texts, and handles carrier registration;
- an AI provider that reads messages and photos and drafts replies;
- cloud hosting and storage providers that run the service and keep backup copies;
- a calendar provider, only if the Business connects its calendar;
- a payment processor for Business billing, a website host, and a scheduling provider for calls with us.
- Legal reasons: if required by law or legal process, or to protect someone's safety.
- Business transfer: if our business is sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.
None of this sharing includes text messaging opt-in data or consent, as described in section 4.
6. How long we keep it
- Conversations and customer details (message text, photos, names, addresses and job descriptions) are removed automatically after two years. Counts and dates are kept so the Business's reports still add up.
- System activity logs are kept for about 30 days.
- Opt-outs are kept so we keep honoring them.
- When a Business stops using HomeCrew AI, we delete its callers' information on request, and in any case within the time set out in our agreement with that Business.
7. Your choices
- Stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply START to receive them again.
- Ask for a person at any point in a conversation.
- Ask to see or delete your information by emailing jakebyrne@jbhomeserviceautomation.com or asking the Business you contacted. We will confirm the request comes from your phone number, then delete your conversations and appointment details. Some records, such as an opt-out, may be kept where we need them to honor your choices or meet a legal obligation.
8. Security
We protect information with access controls, password-protected administration, an audit trail of changes, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected Businesses as required by law if a breach occurs.
9. Children, changes and contact
Children. HomeCrew AI is meant for adults arranging home services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will not apply to information collected before the change without notice.
